wavkit is a group of 32-bit linux command line tools for processing WAV files. wavcat - Combines multiple audio wave files. wavchexp - Exports each audio channel of a wave file to separate files. wavdynamp - The best dynamic amplification / audio range compressor anywhere! wavenh - Audio enhancement utility (mostly useless) wavinfo - Wave file information. wavmono - Down samples wave to mono. wavsplit - The intellegent wave file splitter. wavstereo - Converts to two channel wav file. Basically, I made these back around 2001-2002 for converting and processing audiobooks from cassette to mp3. Even though, these tools are now nearly 25 years old, I have never found a more powerfull dynamic amplifier/compressor than wavdynamp. Also, wavchexp is still one of the easier ways to convert left/right channel audiobooks into separate audio files.
